Guardian to provide aircraft tracking devices to Nigeria: Press Release

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

Yesterday we released our latest news called “Guardian Mobility Equips Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) with Nation’s Aircraft Monitoring Center”.  You can see the whole press release here.

Guardian is going to be the primary subcontractor to Globaltouch (West Africa) to provide Globalstar complete tracking solutions (portable and fixed tracking devices along with mapping applications) to Nigerian aircraft operators. Nigeria has just mandated aircraft tracking and Globalstar and Inmarsat are the only satellite networks licensed there at this time. We’re very excited to work with the operators in Nigeria to show them the many benefits from implementing our full tracking solution, including improved accuracy of maintenance records and increased operational efficiencies.

Guardian launches the Guardian 7

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

Some exciting news from our Heli-Expo booth (3040) today!  We are launching a new product line, Guardian 7. It builds on our years of expertise in data communications, delivering flight tracking data for thousands of aircraft worldwide on two satellite networks.

Guardian 7 is a platform for simplified air-to-ground communications, and for delivering solutions to aircraft operators where a real-time data communications link adds value.

Word from the show is that people are lined up at the Guardian booth to get a peek!

Other news from the show: We announced our deal with the Mexican government, for Guardian 3 devices and tracking services for 65 aircraft.

If you are at the Heli-Expo show, please be sure to drop by (booth 3040). Guardian is having a reception for customers and partners. Try to get to the booth before the event gets underway (2:30 pm), and snag a drink ticket if you are a Guardian customer or friend. :)

Note: This post was edited on March 10, 2010 to reflect a product name change from Guardian Gryphon to Guardian 7.

Name change Announcement: Guardian Skytrax becoming Guardian 3

Wednesday, January 13th, 2010

The time has arrived for Guardian to retire the “Guardian Skytrax” name, and we have replaced it with “Guardian 3”. Rest assured, Guardian 3, formerly Guardian Skytrax, is still our flagship aircraft tracking product. This change has been reflected on our website and documentation, as well as on our auto-attendant message when you call our office.

Guardian Mobility has a broad product offering with more products in the works for our aviation customers and partners. As a result, we have decided to streamline our naming and put the emphasis on the overall Guardian brand. Any of the products in the Guardian Skytrax product line are now part of the “Guardian 3” product line.

The model numbers and relevant STCs are unchanged, and Guardian continues to support the aircraft tracking devices and services that hundreds of customers count on, worldwide.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Safe flying!
